Hallelujah! Now that Virginia just passed legislation protecting mothers’ rights to breastfeed in public, women in most of America can breastfeed in public without issue. The only states that don’t fully protect this right are Idaho and South Dakota.
As a mother who breastfed my child for 3-years, I was so thankful that I wouldn’t get arrested or asked to leave an establishment just because my child was hungry. And look, it wasn’t that I didn’t want to cover up, but my child would CRY KICK AND HIT the cover when I tried to cover up, so it wasn’t an option.
