Video: Purposeful Minimalism

I am not as far along as these folks, but I do practice my own form of minimalism because I do find that it keeps me organized and allows my brain to feel less cluttered.

A few of my rules are:

  1. We must be able to park in the garage at all times
  2. One item of clothing or toy in the house, one must be donated at the same time
  3. Purchase and hold things for a week before removing any tags to see if you REALLY want them (or better yet, leave it at the store and think about it for a few days)

A great tip that helps keep these rules flowing is that we have a box in the garage labeled “DONATE” and we just move things into this box until it is full whereupon we take it to a donation center.

Thanks Kim for sharing the video!
